our story
I have always had a thing for throwing parties and celebrations with warmth and personality. Growing up, I was the kid that was constantly changing my room around, decorating and helping my mom host gatherings. Looking back on it, I think event planning was my calling from the very beginning. Naturally, this passion of mine developed into a business when I founded Couture Events in 2007. I feel so grateful to be in the amazing world of weddings and special events, especially here on one of the most beautiful islands in the world. The best part of my job is taking a client’s vision and personality and turning it into this amazing dream come true of a wedding day. I love seeing that expression of "wow" on their face when they see everything for the first time. It is such an honor to have had so many couples entrust me with one of the most important celebrations of their lives.
A little bit about me—I call the island of Maui home with my husband David, our two kids, Madison and Dylan, a cat named Kiki and our King Charles Cavalier, Kingston. I love waking up to rainbows, the sound of the palm trees swaying outside of my office window and the glow of pink sunsets. Most importantly, I love the aloha spirit here in Hawaii. When I'm not orchestrating events, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking a drive Upcountry to visit the local farmer’s markets and succulent farm, and watching UW football (go Huskies!) and, of course, entertaining. Spending time with my family and friends always make me happy.
When it comes to celebrations, I don't do stuffy or pretentious, but rather natural and heartfelt. I produce genuinely beautiful and thoughtful events guided by the love and emotion of the couples I work with. Having produced weddings and events in the Hawaiian Islands for over 15 years, I understand the challenges that come with planning a celebration from afar. My communication with couples and vendors is clear, concise and of utmost importance. If I had to describe my design aesthetic, it would be fresh, light-hearted, nature-driven and fun. I appreciate bold color inspired by my tropical home in Hawaii just as much as I love a soft and romantic color story.

Couture Events
Giving back
We want to do our part in making our community and world a better place. Couture Events donates a percentage of the profits from its event planning services to select Maui charities including the Maui Human Society and Malama Family Recovery Center. Malama’s mission is to provide caring, holistic substance abuse treatment to women and children so families can live safe, independent and healthy lives.
Couture Events was personally affected by the August 8th Lahaina fire when they lost their design studio on Front Street. Since, Couture has made it their mission to help those affected and donate in kind whenever possible.
